Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is expecting keeper Fraser Forster to report back for pre-season training after failing to secure a permanent berth elsewhere. The highly-rated shot-stopper ha spent the last two seasons with SPL giants Celtic.
The Hoops are known to be keen on doing a deal, but nothing has been agreed with Newcastle.
Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "At the moment he is coming back to us.
"He will be with us until he finds a club and we find a fee that works for us."
