Keen in West Brom talks about joining Clarke staff

Kevin Keen is in talks about a move to West Bromwich Albion.

The Express & Star says the 45-year-old has been sounded out by new Baggies boss Steve Clarke about a role on the backroom staff at The Hawthorns.

Clarke worked with Keen at former clubs West Ham and Liverpool and is being lined up as a leading candidate if he chooses to add to his off-field team.

The Baggies boss will discuss his coaching staff with sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth when he starts work on July 4. But Albion have made it clear to Clarke that they would allow a new coach to join him at The Hawthorns and Clarke is believed to have lined up Keen, who left Liverpool last week along with Clarke, as his preferred choice.
