Keegan wishes Sven luck at Man City

Kevin Keegan has wished Sven-Goran Eriksson "all the luck in the world" but warned him his new job at City will bring familiar pressures.

Eriksson, 59, is following the same path as Keegan who took time out from the game after quitting the England job before taking charge at City.

Keegan spent almost four years as City boss before resigning in March 2005, having failed to turn the club into the force he hoped they would become.

City remain in the shadow of Manchester United, and Eriksson faces a stiff challenge in his first English club job.

Keegan said: "It's a great club with a great support base and I wish him all the luck in the world.

"It's a club who train 200 yards from Manchester United - two massive clubs in one city - and Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, arguably."
