Kevin Keegan has curtailed the growing sense of euphoria on Tyneside by reminding his Newcastle players they are still in a relegation battle.
Despite their upturn in fortunes the Newcastle boss has set about keeping his players in check.
"We're still in a relegation fight - but we're looking up," warned Keegan.
"We have it within us to catch Spurs and maybe West Ham. We've got to go to West Ham and if we play as we did at Spurs in our last few games, we could pick up some good points.
"We have Reading, Sunderland and Chelsea to come to us and on that form, against a top-quality side, you have to fancy us to beat anybody at the moment.''
