Robbie Keane was named Player of the Tournament at the Barclays New York Challenge, reports the club's official website. The Tottenham Hotspur striker was in fine form in the 2-1 win against the New York Red Bulls on Thursday and the 2-2 draw against Sporting Lisbon on Sunday.
Captain for all three matches in America including the earlier draw against San Jose, his displays certainly impressed boss Harry Redknapp.
"He looked sharp, bright and it was a fantastic finish against Sporting," he said. "He's quality player."
Sporting ended up taking the trophy by virtue of a one goal better goal difference.
