Robbie Keane has reportedly called for Alessandro Del Piero to join him at MLS champions LA Galaxy.
The 37-year old Italian striker has departed Juventus after close to 20 years of services in Turin and has been heavily linked with a move to the North American top flight.
It has been reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that Republic of Ireland captain Keane, currently on duty at Euro2012, has urged Del Piero to head across the Atlantic and continue his career alongside he, David Beckham and Landon Donovan.
It is believed that Keane personally called the World Cup winner in a bid to try and lure him to The Home Depot Center in California.
