LA Galaxy captain Robbie Keane said the MLS champions were targeting a win over Monterrey on Wednesday night.
The Galaxy host the title-holders in the CONCACAF Champions League semi-final first leg and although Keane is going in with a positive attitude, he is not expecting an easy outing against a very capable outfit.
"Like every game that we go into, we go in to win," Keane said.
"Listen, don't think for one second we think they're better than we are. Look at the team we have; we're as good as anybody. We'll give anybody a game. We're playing at home and certainly we want to win our home games."
And Keane said it was vital that himself and Omar Gonzalez, returning from international duty with the Republic of Ireland and USA respectively, came back and gave a good account of themselves.
"It's been good. They've done very, very well (in our absence)," added Keane. "It's very important when players like myself and Omar [Gonzalez] go away on international duty that there are people that can come in and help the team out."
