Robbie Keane says "the only way is up" for Tottenham and reckons it would be "daft" to write off his side's chances of making the top four.
Spurs, who are unbeaten in the four games since Juande Ramos took over, are currently 14 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and face a tough London derby at West Ham a week on Sunday.
But although Keane admits it would be "daft" of him to predict they will grab a Champions League place, he insists: "You would be just as daft to say we can't."
Keane told Sport Magazine: "It's been a difficult start but you have to put what's happened behind you, move on and concentrate on getting back up the table.
"We came into the season aiming to do as well as we could. Top four was the aim and, with the players we have and the manager we had, we thought that was realistic.
"We are struggling at the moment but we have the players and the manager to do well here. The only way is up."
