Ipswich boss Roy Keane has revealed the club has rejected offers for his "most important players", saying he is under no pressure to sell his stars. Keane's plans for the new season centre around keeping hold of his star names including 17-year-old striker Connor Wickham, who is a reported target for Premier League clubs.
The Town boss told Ipswich Player: "We have had a number of phone calls and one or two offers for what I would class as our most important players who we have no interest in letting go.
"Connor is very much one for the future and we believe he is going to be a top, top player. He had a very good end to the season, even away with England (Under-17s), and Connor is very much part of our plans.
"From the club's and the owner's point of view, we are under no pressure to sell him. That is good news for everyone because we need players like Connor to produce next year if we are going to have a successful season."
