Roy Keane hopes to secure Dwight Yorke to a new one-year Sunderland deal upon his return from New Zealand.
The Journal says securing a new deal for Yorke is high on the agenda of issues to be resolved when Keane gets back to the North East later this week.
Yorke appears undecided on his future and Keane is understood to want to take a hands-on role in trying to convince the veteran midfielder that he has a future at the Stadium of Light next season.
