Republic of Ireland assistant Roy Keane took a bit of a pop at Everton in his news conference before Saturday's World Cup qualifier in Austria.
The Toffees have been critical in the past of midfielder James McCarthy, who has pulled out of this squad injured, playing for his country despite injury concerns.
"I'm not sure when they last won a trophy. As a club, maybe their players need to toughen up a bit," Keane said.
"We're disappointed James couldn't make it but we'll survive.
"As long as I have been involved with Ireland in the last few years, I think we have been more than fair to the clubs and the players... I don't think we have ever taken unnecessary risks with players."
