Roy Keane has stated that he does not regret the way his Manchester United career ended.
Sunderland manager Keane goes head-to-head with former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson at The Stadium of Light on Boxing Day, as The Black Cats attempt to avenge their 1-0 Old Trafford defeat in September.
Former United skipper Keane left United in November 2005 after angering his erstwhile boss with comments about his teammates in an MUTV interview.
However, Keane refuses to let his exit cloud the good memories of his 12-and-a-half season Old Trafford career: "I had a brilliant time there. It was everything I thought it would be - fantastic, brilliant. I loved every minute of it.
"I don't have regrets about how it ended, other people might. All good things come to an end.''
