Robbie Keane was pleased to make his Liverpool debut in last night's friendly at Villarreal.

The match finished 0-0 and lifelong Liverpool fan Keane said: "I was delighted to get that game under my belt. I have been dreaming about that moment since I was a kid.

"I'm sure it will be different in a home game. I'm just looking forward to all the matches.

"It has now sunk in I'm a Liverpool player. This trip has been good for me to get to know the lads, and I'm just looking forward to this season."
