Roy Keane will be confirmed as Aston Villa assistant manager in the coming days.
The Daily Star Sunday says Paul Lambert will name Keane as his Aston Villa assistant coach later this week.
Keano, 42, is currently on tour in the USA with the Republic of Ireland as manager Martin O'Neill's right-hand man.
But having pulled out of his ITV punditry duties at the World Cup and turned down the Celtic job, the former Man Utd ace is expected to accept Lambert's offer to join Villa's depleted coaching staff.
