Robbie Keane has spoken with Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard about joining LA Galaxy.

Gerrard will move to Galaxy, the MLS Cup champions, at the end of this season.

Former Reds striker Keane told Sportbladet: "I had a good conversation with Steven about every team in the league and gave him some advice.

"Not only about football, but also schools for his children, where he can stay and stuff. It's good to have someone who can point you in the right direction and answer the questions you have.

"Steven will be a bonus for us, I'm very excited. He is clearly going to make us better."
