Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has urged his players to get themselves up and about after a shattering 3-2 loss to Liverpool at Ewood Park last night.
Rovers conceded two early goals before the Reds saw goalkeeper Doni sent off for bringing down Junior Hoilett, and although Yakubu missed the ensuing penalty, the Nigerian atoned with two other goals to level for the home side.
It seemed as though Blackburn would press for the win with a one-man advantage but in the end they lost out to an injury-time Andy Carroll header and now Kean just hopes it doesn't affect the morale of his players for Sunday's trip to Swansea City.
"If we had managed to hang on in there we would probably have been disappointed with a point - but it would have taken us up two places because of how tight it is where we are.
"People said to me after the Sunderland game 'Is that you out of it?'.
"But I said there were a lot of points to be played for and there would be lots of twists and turns and there was a twist in the very last minute (against Liverpool).
"In the last five games there will be refereeing decisions which affect games, other things will happen and points will go possibly where they shouldn't have done.""They (the players) are gutted. We just need to pick ourselves up, we can't feel sorry for ourselves," said Kean.
