Kean rues Blackburn inefficiency

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean was left to rue his side's inefficiency in their 1-0 home loss to Tottenham.

The Lancashire club had plenty of opportunities in Kean's eyes but came up short with the loss pushing them down to ninth on the table.

Kean was of firm belief that is his side were deadlier in front of goal, then outcome against the traveling Spurs would have been much different.

"If you look at the stats we had 17 attempts and 11 on target. The lads would even have been disappointed with a point after the chances we had," he said.

"I think the crowd got edgy but I hope they enjoyed the type of football we played.

"We were caught cold for the first goal (an early Peter Crouch header) but were totally in control for the rest of the game."
