Steve Kean is convinced he can have a long-term future at Blackburn Rovers.
The Scot is adamant he can lead a revival like Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United and Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.
Kean said: "I look at Fergie and Redknapp and how they turned things around and I know I can do that.
"I've been in the game long enough to know that when you can get the backing from your players and owners, and get an amount of time to put your own thing on it, then I've absolutely no doubt we will be where we want to be at the end of the season. I do think I'll be able to win over those fans who are against me.
"We can do that with points and a style of play they enjoy coming to see. I'm hoping they will say, 'I've changed my mind'. There's a small section that's negative, but I'm sure we can change them.
"I'm not saying I'm some tough guy, but it's easy for me to be positive. We've got a great club, lots of good players and the majority of fans are with us."
The two words Kean will not say are: 'I quit'. He is adamant it's never crossed his mind.
"You work through it like we did last season and you come out of it a better person, a better manager," he said.
"The owners have been very strong in backing what we are trying to do."
