Kean aware of enormity of Blackburn's 'cup final' task

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean knows very well that his side are facing a very tricky run of games ahead of Christmas.

The Ewood Park outfit sit at the bottom of the Premier League table, two points behind second bottom Wigan Athletic, and face four teams from 13th position down in their next few matches.

Kean is desperate to get some positive results as the Rovers continue to struggle and is determined to kickstart a good run of 'cup finals' starting with the visit of Swansea City tomorrow.

"We need to get back to winning ways in the league. Saturday is massive for us," he told the club's official website.

"We are in a position now where we need to treat Saturday's game like a cup final.

"We've got Swansea, Sunderland, West Brom and Bolton all coming up, teams that we feel as though we are in touching distance of.

"We've played a lot of the teams that are up there in the top four or five, so these are games that become our cup finals."
