Kean admits Blackburn running out of time

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean admits time is running out for them to beat the drop.

He confessed the 7-1 humiliation at Arsenal is a huge blow to his struggling side's confidence — and goal difference.

A shell-shocked Kean said: "The pressure is now on because the clock's ticking.

"We've not got many games left and we need to get to a position on points that's going to take us out of this zone we're in. It's not a nice place to be. I felt today we felt a little bit sorry for ourselves.

"There's a way to respond when you go behind: it's to feel angry, or feel embarrassed, or a combination of both.

"That then motivates you to have a personal standard that you don't go below and I think we have to question ourselves on that."
