Turkish club Kayserispor have secured the services of Paraguayan midfielder Cristian Riveros on a season-long loan.
The 28-year old struggled to make an impact in his first season at Sunderland last term after joining from Mexican outfit Cruz Azul and the club feel he will be better served playing regular first team football.
Black Cats boss Steve Bruce said it was a good opportunity for Riveros, who made just 14 appearances in all competitions last season.
"Cristian wants to play regular football and hopefully he will be able to do so in Turkey," he told the club's official website.
"We wish him all the best."
