Karlsson has no Sunderland move regrets

David Moberg Karlsson is confident he can make it at Sunderland.

The young Swede has revealed new Sunderland boss Gus Poyet wants him to play in the U21 team this season.

"They still believe in me and tell me not to see it as a defeat. It's a tough step from the youth team to the Premier League. It went well in training matches, but it's different when the serious stuff begins," he told GT.

"Of course you want to play, no matter where you are.

"But if you had told me a year ago that I had the chance to play in the Premier League in 2014, I would've laughed ... but, once you're here you want to play, developing your talent."
