Karlsruhe goalkeeper Luis Robles is reportedly close to making a move to MLS club New York Red Bulls.

The 27-year old former Boulder Rapids and Kaiserslautern gloveman, who has represented the USA national team on one occasion, has confirmed there is a chance he could be lining up with the Red Bulls in 2012.

"We have been talking and I'll be flying to New York on Friday," Robles told MLSsoccer.com. "Nothing's for certain or guaranteed, but the opportunity is really enticing."

Robles added that he is looking to grab a fresh start as his career has seemingly stagnated with Karlsruhe where he has been for the past five seasons.

"I'm in a situation where it's not really ideal," added Robles. "I'm on the outside looking in and that always happens when there are so many coaching changes in a season.

"They did say that they'd let me go if I wanted to go somewhere and I appreciate they did give me that opportunity."
