Karim Rekik is delighted to be a record breaker at Manchester City.
The Dutch central defender was just 16 years and 294 days old when he made his bow in the Carling Cup tie against Birmingham City last week.
"I'm really happy," Rekik told City's website. "Obviously it is wonderful to have played so early in my career and to have become City's youngest overseas player is quite an honour.
"Somebody told me I might have even been the youngest, which would have been even better still but I'm happy that I've set an overseas record."
