Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka says the players can handle the abuse of fans after their thrashing at Borussia Dortmund. Karanka says morale hasn't been knocked by the dismal Champions League defeat.
"We always ask for the fans' support in the Bernabeu and we cannot expect that after a losing a match like that, that they cheer for us.
"You can understand that and they have every right not to do so. The insults are for everyone and so we take them on the chin. You understand how the fans feel and that they are going home feeling frustrated. You have to respect them and understand them. We want to show that they are with the team on Tuesday," said Karanka.
Can Real fans forgive the players in time for Tuesday's return-leg? Did the players deserve the abuse? Give us your shout below...
