Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka is happy in his job.

The former Real and Colorado Rapids defender has seen his profile increased in recent weeks as he stands in for coach Jose Mourinho at media conferences.

He said: "I learn something new every day from the manager and his staff. I just want to continue enjoying my time here and learning from it."

"We've been here two seasons. We won the Copa del Rey last season and we're close to winning La Liga this year. The league is the most important championship because it is won throughout the entire season."
