Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka acknowledged some fans were targeting Jose Mourinho during victory over Real Valladolid.

Mourinho was the subject of whistles from sections of the home support.

"The whistles for the manager… he already said so after the Dortmund match and I will repeat it too: the fans are there to be respected," said Karanka.

"We have worked for three years and the fans are more or less happy with the results, and we always respect them."

With regards to claims of not going out to the technical area during the match, he stated that "it's not worth commenting on".
