Galatasaray have completed the signing of Reading midfielder Jem Karacan on a free, following the capture of Lukas Podolski from Arsenal.

The former Turkey U23 international has signed a three-year deal with the Istanbul club.

Royals boss Steve Clarke had offered a new contract to the 26-year-old, but he opted to join the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Karacan made over 170 appearances for Reading since arriving at the club in 2007.
