Kansas City Wizards striker Teal Bunbury has accepted a call-up from the USA.

Bunbury has represented Canada at various junior levels, but is in the squad for the friendly against South Africa.

His mother is American, and he lived most of his life in the States. He was also a standout player at the University of Akron.

Bunbury told kansascity.com: "It's obviously a tough decision. … I really felt that, even though I was born in Canada, I've lived in the States a lot longer. I feel more American than I do Canadian."
