Kansas City Wizards stadium project to create thousands of jobs

The proposed Kansas City Wizards stadium development could create about 8,000 jobs which would be the most in the history of Wyandotte County.

The $414million Wizards-Cerner Office Campus project was approved by the Unified Government and will make a positive impact on the entire region.

'The office campus would create 4,000 new jobs, an additional 1,888 indirect jobs would be created and the Kansas City Wizards Soccer Stadium would create about 2,500 more jobs', it was reported on Kansas City Kansan.

"I'm extremely excited about this project," said Unified Government Mayor/CEO Joe Reardon. "This will be single largest job creator in the history of the county. It's transformational.

"One of the single biggest things we can do is create jobs," he said. "This will have a regional impact and it will positively impact the entire region."
