Tottenham face missing out on Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Kansas City Wizards boss Robb Heineman has confirmed they've made an offer to the AS Monaco forward.

The Wizards want the former Chelsea and Barcelona striker to fill their Designated Player slot.

Tottenham are also keen to sign Gudjohnsen outright after his six-month loan from ASM last season.

Heineman revealed the offer on the BigSoccer.com forum yesterday.
