The Kansas City Wizards announced Tuesday that the team has acquired a natural 3rd round selection in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft from the New England Revolution.
The Wizards sent an international roster spot to New England to complete the trade. New England will control the international player slot through Jan. 1, 2011.
Kansas City now has six international roster spots, after trading one to Real Salt Lake in 2007.
The Wizards will regain control of the roster spot from Real Salt Lake on Jan. 1, 2010. Kansas City currently employs three international players: midfielder Santiago Hirsig (Argentina), forward Claudio Lopez (Argentina) and midfielder Kevin Souter (Scotland).
