Sevilla have reopened new contract talks with striker Fredi Kanoute.

Kanoute's agent, Christophe Mongai, has been speaking with Sevilla over the past few days about a new deal after earlier indicating the striker was ready to quit the UEFA Cup champs.

The former West Ham and Tottenham forward has less than two years left on his existing contract.
