Kane better off sticking with Tottenham - Redknapp

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes star striker Harry Kane's career will be better served if the 22-year-old remains at White Hart Lane.

Manchester United had been linked with a £40million bid for Kane during the summer.

However, Redknapp believes Kane's best option is to stay with his boyhood club, where he scored 21 Premier League goals last season.

"I don't think he'll want to leave," Redknapp told Express Sport.

"He's captained them a few times when Lloris has been out last year.

"I think he's better off at Tottenham. I'd like to see him stay there and take them back into the top four. It's a good club for him to develop at."
