Former Everton winger Andrei Kanchelskis is backing their move for Zenit St Petersburg striker Artem Dzyuba.

Dzyuba is a loan target for the Toffees.

And Kanchelskis told Sport Express: "Why not Dzyuba leave? Everything, of course, will depend on his desire - whether he wants to go to England or not.

"I think it is very interesting to play, try yourself in the English Premier League.

"In England - it's a specific football, interesting and dynamic. Its traditions, its history. Why shouldn't he play there? Especially since Artem is not so young anymore.

"At Everton he will be well received. They love football very much - the fans always treat with understanding. I played there and I know it."
