Liverpool should've gambled with the signing of Loic Remy, says Chris Kamara.
The Frenchman appeared on his way to Anfield, but failed a medical. And Kamara says that Remy, who has since joined Chelsea, would have saved Brendan Rodgers his Mario Balotelli headache.
"When they signed him people said give him a chance but knowing Brendan Rodgers' formation and game plan, you could see that Balotelli wouldn't fit in given that he's a static striker," explained Kamara, writing in his Ladbrokes column.
"I'm sure the manager thought he could change that.
"But what everyone seems to have forgotten is Liverpool's attempted signing of Loic Remy. Remy failed his medical at Anfield and things could've been very different had he signed.
"Ultimately, the people behind the scenes decided they couldn't take a chance on Loic."
