Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou says the spirit inside the Blues camp is proving an advantage.
Chelsea's morale is in contrast to what is happening at Manchester United with Wayne Rooney.
When asked about the Rooney situation that is overshadowing United's challenge, Kalou said: "We don't like to focus on what our opponents are saying and doing, it is just a good thing for us that we have a happy ship.
"If you are happy then you can work in good spirit and the atmosphere around the club is positive. When this is the case, the good results always come. There is a good relationship between everyone at Chelsea and that can make a difference at the club.
"It is very important to have a settled club. The stability of a club can always make an impact on results, if there is no stability at the club it can sometimes be hard for the players to focus.
"I know this from my own experience over the past three years at Chelsea where it was not always easy to go training when there is something else going on. Every club has these kind of problems, but when football is made the most important thing, players can focus and give a good performance."
