Salomon Kalou is convinced the Chelsea dressing room have the hunger to win the Champions League.
The Ivory Coast midfielder was part of a collective under-achievement by his club team-mates in South Africa during the summer.
Kalou and Didier Drogba failed to progress from their group, Florent Malouda was part of the France debacle, while the England trio of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole all disappointed.
Rather than hang over them, Kalou feels that their failures can be the spur for the Double winners to prove themselves once more in the blue shirt of Chelsea.
He said: "We have good professionals in the team, good experience and people are hungry to win because at the World Cup, it was not so good for everyone at Chelsea. We know that last summer was a disappointment for everyone.
"People want you to bring the best out of yourself, so sometimes it is difficult, but it doesn't take anything from their ability of being great players. I believe they will bounce back and they will do great things for Chelsea this year.
"The reason why we should win and why we should go for every challenge this season is because this will maybe be the last opportunity for us to win the Champions League or to win more prizes together. Everyone is concerned by that."
