Kalou confident Chelsea will see off Olympiacos at home

Salomon Kalou is convinced Chelsea will see off Olympiacos at Stamford Bridge after their 0-0 draw in Athens.

"We didn't create a lot of chances to score goals but 0-0 is a good result and we have the chance to win at home," the Ivory Coast striker told the club's website.

"I can understand the manager's disappointment because we should have done better today but we played a difficult team at home. Now at home we have to do better.

"They are a difficult team but I think Chelsea were the better team tonight so we have to show it."

It was Kalou's second game since returning from African Nations duty with his country, and his first look at new team-mate Nicolas Anelka on the field. It is, he believes, a big coup for Chelsea, even if it means a reduced involvement for himself.

"That's the squad we have, it is difficult to play every game,' he conceded. 'Anelka will score goals every time and now we have a better position with Anelka, Pizarro, Shevchenko so there are a lot of choices for the manager."
