Kalou on brink of signing new Chelsea contract
Salomon Kalou is close to agreeing a new contract with Chelsea.
The Times says the 23-year-old’s deal expires at the end of the season, but the club have made an improved offer in recent days and his signature is imminent.
Chelsea were keen to retain Kalou’s services in any case, but with their transfer ban no in place, it has increased the need to tie their existing squad to long-term contracts.
The former Feyenoord striker has been offered a new four-year deal worth £60,000 a week, which, although modest by Chelsea’s standards, is almost double the value of his present contract and deemed acceptable by his advisers.

Kalou is one of Chelsea's worst signings ever. He not only has no clue, he doesn't even know what 'clue' means. He's terrible. A shocking player. I'd rather have Kezman back than keep Kalou. Heck, bring back 'The Iceman', I bet he'd be better for us despite his age. Kalou is shite.
Gurudas?? You obviously dont get to see chelsea to often, Kalou is shocking, scores the odd goal i will give him that, but he has become the eddie newton of the current team, '"thats why we love Soloman Kalou" ever heard the word irony, enough said. they only want to keep him due to the transfer ban otherwise he would have been shipped off to mediocre arse-nal long ago!!
Kalou can stil improve,if he get a bit more regular,bt i think we nd 2 tigh down alex and j.cole...4 u dat cal chelsea a rugby team,u must b a l'pool ahahah!!!
