Former AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze is excited about the prospects of Genoa.

Kaladze is confident he can help the team to qualify for the Champions League.

"I am happy to be at Genoa. I thank the directors and President Enrico Preziosi for the enthusiasm they showed me," said the veteran.

"After the knee operation I got back on track with my national team and am proud to be their captain. I hope my performance proved I am in good shape, despite what some may say.

"I want to play football and hope to give my contribution so that Genoa can finish in the top four in Serie A and target the Champions League."
