Over 50,000 fans were in attendance at the Santiago Bernabeu to welcome Real Madrid signing Kaka last night. "It seemed like the Maracana," beamed Kaka immediately after the signing ceremony.
Just 30,000 attended Real's final Liga game of last season against Real Mallorca, while a stunning 3,500 Kaka shirts were sold by the club shop during the day.
"Today is a very special day for me, I am very happy this new stage of my career is with Real Madrid. My desire is to write my name in the history of this club, with victories and conquests. Hala Madrid," declared Kaka.
Kaka unveiled his new shirt number - No8 - to the Bernabeu fans.
The Brazilian also declared he was excited about playing with Cristiano Ronaldo.
"There will be no rivalry with Cristiano, we are compatible. We will not have problems inside or outside the field," said Kaka.
