Kaka, Pato on exciting shopping list of Chelsea owner Abramovich

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning a spending spree this summer. The Sunday Mirror says Abramovich will carry on spending as Chelsea rebuild their ageing squad this summer.

After funding the £74million January recruitment drive for Fernando Torres and David Luiz, the Russian billionaire accepts his Blue revolution is not yet complete.

The list of Chelsea targets is significant and includes Brazilian playmaker Kaka, who turned down the chance to join Manchester City in June 2009 and opted for Real Madrid.

Chelsea are also in the hunt for Everton's Jack Rodwell, St Etienne winger Dimitri Payet and AC Milan's young striker Alexandre Pato.

The recruitment of more emerging players will reduce the average age of the squad.
