Kaka: I've joined Real Madrid to play with planet's best players

New Real Madrid signing Kaka admits David Beckham had a say in his decision to leave AC Milan. The £60 million man revealed: "All of the Madrid players in the Brazil squad spoke highly of the club and advised me to sign.

"But I knew the team well, because it has exceptional players like Raul and Casillas. David Beckham also told me that Florentino (Perez) is great to work for.

"It is one of the best teams in the world and is building a solid project that will allow me to play with the best footballers on the planet. That was one of the reasons that made me choose this great club.

"They are also forming a team to become champions of Spain and Europe. Real Madrid is a new motivation for me. I want to achieve new victories and winning many titles with the white shirt.

"It is true that I had opportunities in previous seasons, but (Carlo) Ancelotti, my coach at Milan, backed me and my game. Coming now to Real Madrid is a rewarding experience."

Kaka also warned Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

"Messi has been very good this season and deserves this award, the best footballer of the year, because he has won three major titles with Barcelona.

"Anyway, I hope that this success is over for Barcelona and Real Madrid will be the one conquering titles."
