Kaka insists not doom-and-gloom at AC Milan

As they face the prospect of missing Champions League qualification, Kaka says: "It has been a good season.

"We won two important titles in the Club World Cup and the European Super Cup, even if the League is in the balance and the Champions League was a bit disappointing.

"It would really upsetting not to see Milan in the Champions League next year, but this season we made the choice to go to Japan

"We had to make up the games when we returned, so we were playing while others were resting, but it was a positive choice because now Milan are the most decorated club in the world."

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed that Kaka will be used in a new second striker position next year and the Brazilian concluded by welcoming the shift.

"It's a position that I like and I am suited to it because it gives me the chance to get close to goal," he beamed. "I will be able to have more shots and provide more assists."
