Kaka was delighted for AC Milan teammate Gabriel after victory over Udinese.
While Kaka made his return after four years, fellow Brazilian Gabriel had his Serie A debut at the age of 21.
"Gabriel did very well and he performed a very important save on Antonio Di Natale," he said.
"It isn't easy to make your Milan debut at San Siro, but he has a great future ahead of him. I am one of the oldest in the squad now and will try to help the team any way I can, showing what Milan mean to me."
