Kaka: AC Milan playing on auto-pilot

Kaka admits AC Milan have been playing on "auto-pilot" since the start of the season. "We have to adjust a few things. This is what happened to Milan: we thought that we could just go out there, play and win on auto-pilot," he told Il Giornale.

"That's just not the case. In certain moments you need to suffer, make sacrifices and fight for results.

"We lost sight of our defects and consoled ourselves with our virtues. Now we must rediscover our identity by aiming for precise objectives."

The arrival of Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko has forced a tactical reshuffle and Carlo Ancelotti has not yet settled on a system.

"I am ready to play as a support striker or trequartista, it is not a problem. I will only say that I don't want to play with my back to goal, as that destroys all my characteristics," continued Kaka.

"The squad is right behind Ancelotti, not out of habit but because we have faith in him. In a hundred other moments like this he always managed to get us out of that tunnel and lead us towards success.

"You can tell he is disappointed, but optimistic. Above all he is relaxed and never speaks out of turn."
