Kaizer Chiefs coach Bobby Motaung has cooled talk of a move for Manchester United and Real Madrid legend David Beckham.

Beckham has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs since announcing he would be leaving LA Galaxy after the MLS Cup final.

"We know nothing of a transfer of Beckham to Kaizer Chiefs," declared Motaung in amazement. "We have had no contact with a representative of him.

"Anyway, within the club there's not been talk about him."
