Oliver Kahn has backed Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann to start for Germany tonight against Switzerland.

"I see no reason to make changes," Kahn told Bild. "We don't have to worry at all about this position.

"I hope he will put in a good performance so that there will be an end to all the discussions.

"He has the experience and has strong nerves. I know myself exactly what he is going through. You are under pressure all the time, but you have to stand firm.

"Jens will do that and then he should be left in peace to play a good Euro 2008 tournament."
