Alex Kacaniklic is well aware that he has not yet made it at Fulham after experiencing some first team action late last season.
The 20-year old Swedish midfielder worked his way into Martin Jol's plans with a few Premier League appearances following his successful loan spell at Watford which he credits with assisting in his development.
"Watford went really well - Ray Lewington had recommended I went there to gain some experience, and they offered me my first chance to play first-team football. I learned a lot from that and I hope I helped the team.""It was a good second half of the season," he told the club's official website.
Kacaniklic then headed back to Craven Cottage where he received just under a handful of games which he knows he has to build on via plenty of hard work.
"It's not as if I've 'arrived' or anything, and I'll need to work extra hard next season to get a regular place in the squad. But it's been a start. All I want to do is play at Fulham, and it feels as if this justifies having come here from Liverpool. It's been encouraging.""But to then come back to Fulham and break into the first-team here was perfect. I've only played four times, so I'm staying grounded," he added.
